Gyeongseong Creature Actress Han So Hee’s Instagram Backlash Explained
Han So Hee’s post that sparked the criticism was that of the Korean freedom fighter – An Jung Geun. It was more like that celebrating the successful global premiere of the show.
To the newbies, he is known for the 1909 assassination of the Japanese politician Ito Hirobumi. The latter served as the Resident-General of Korea during Imperial Japan’s rule.
As far as the note of the post was concerned, Han So Hee shared that it had nothing to do with the romance in Gyeongseong. She further added that it was also not something related to the creatures’ mid-Japanese rule.
The Kdrama actress said, ”These stories are from the people of the brilliantly dark times. Those who had to fight head-on against the monsters were born from the dehumanizing experiments. It’s about the spring of that year when embracing one another in love was the only way to become stronger.”
To be more particular, the post signified the Japanese rule of Korea, as seen in the show Gyeongseong Creature. It somehow triggered some Japanese fans, making them very much upset.
Some of the disappointed fans took the discussion on social media platforms. One person wrote, “It’s a pity to feel the nationality of the old ideas that never disappear. I wonder if it’s been hidden throughout history. I can’t understand this. Nevertheless, I thought this was a post that was not in line with the global modernity.” Another person gave up as a fan. One even showed her hatred towards the country, pointing out the low nationality.
Fans were so disappointed by Han So Hee’s post that many even addressed her as a terrorist. They even asked her not to visit Japan anytime in the future.
Following the backlash, Han So Hee didn’t utter a single word about this. In other words, she remained tight-lipped and didn’t make any further explanation of her perspective.
But guess what? Someone defended Han So Hee very dominantly on Instagram. Who was it? Well, he was a South Korean professor and social activist – Seo Kyoung Duk. He addressed the reactions of criticism made by the Japanese fans as very much “absurd.” He further shared that it was the lack of good knowledge of the unbiased history of Japan.
