The spin-off of Black-ish, Grown-ish after a pretty good first season, has been renewed for season 2. According to a report from TVSeriesFinale, the first season of Grown-ish got a rating of 0.28% in the 19-49 age range, and it managed to get a viewership of 630,000, so eventually, the show was renewed on 18th January 2018, confirmed by Variety. So, here are all the details that are available so far.
According to IMDb, the series is “A modern take on the current issues facing both students & administrators in the world of higher education. Yara Shahidi portrays Zoey — Dre and Rainbow’s popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter – as she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest.”
At the DGA Theater, Shahidi said, “I know little to nothing about Grown-ish Season 2. What I can say is I’m really looking forward to Zoey going to class. Season 2, I’m excited to have breath, in terms of extending these storylines. Zoey is now a more determined & more settled human, so I’m really looking forward to episodes of her being super obstinate because she has her perspective and no one’s going to shift it.”
