Fox TV’s Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars will be releasing Episode 9 this week. With the intense double elimination last week, only four contestants remain in this one-of-a-kind cooking competition series.
First seen on Television on May 24th, 2023, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars is a cook-off show where the chefs that compete with each other are innovators. Each of them has their own business and is trying to impress Gordon Ramsay with their skills to win almost $250,000 investment into their ideas.
Every single competition is designed in such a way that Ramsay can easily differentiate the contestant into either a good or not-worthy investment. While all of the chefs and innovators that have been on Food Stars were skilled in their own way, it’s only those that have all the raw ingredients to make a business successful that will be taking home the hefty cash investment.
Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars Episode 8: Recap
In Episode 8 of Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, the remaining six contestants had to be a part of a live broadcast challenge. To make this as authentic as possible, Gordon took the chefs to QVC, where they were shown various products they could include in their advertisements.
The teams were split into Red and Yellow, with Red consisting of the boys and Yellow consisting of Ashley, Caroline, and Lan. From each of the teams, one had to be the producer, and the other two would be the presenters, who would be advertising the products live.
Lan chose to be the producer for Yellow Team, while Aaron led the Red Team. Caroline and Lan faced some issues in deciding what kind of method they would use to show the equipment. However, the time given to them was only 3 hours, so they had to conclude quickly.
The high-intensity challenge not only required good communication with the audience but also proper prepping and rehearsing since the recording couldn’t be edited later. The judges for the Live broadcast challenge were QVC executives and Alberti Popaj, a presenter on QVC.
Since the Red and Yellow teams would have to convince their customers to buy the product, a small number of regular QVC customers were also invited. Lan and Aaron were quickly coached by Sean Hagen, executive producer at QVC.
As soon as the broadcast began, Lan started guiding Caroline and Ashley on what to do next on the camera. Caroline seemed to be nervous, but Ashley managed to keep things going. Coming to the Red Team, Aaron couldn’t guide his teammates properly and had to be told what to say next by Sean Hagen and Gordon Ramsay.
Moreover, the Red Team’s Tony tried to ignore any instructions that were said to him. When the live broadcast challenge finally ended, Gordon came in with the results. The clear winner of the challenge was the Yellow Team, more specifically Lan. As for the Red Team, both Tony and Aaron were eliminated.
