Season 8 started back in the Bates Hendricks area, where Mina and the team were converting one house into two residences: a downstairs residence and an above-rental unit. They needed to save money after an expensive foundation repair to give the house plenty of wow effect.
In the Good Bones TV Show, a mother-daughter team transforms and renovates some of Indianapolis’ most run-down homes, giving them new life. The show has received praise from viewers throughout the years for its inspiring and thought-provoking topics as well as its powerful mother-daughter relationship.
The goal of the “home rehabbers” is to give strength to their city’s residences by transforming one at a time. What’s best about their purpose is that they use their own funds to purchase the run-down property as a way to give back to their own community.
Good Bones Season 8 Recap
Before diving into Good Bones Season 8 Episode 6, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. In episode 2, with their second residence on Singleton Street to manage, Mina and the team go back to Bates-Hendricks. This peaceful spa-like home has soaring ceilings and a hidden room in the kitchen, but it required a major wow factor to appeal to the area’s discriminating buyers.
In episode 3, Mina and her team were in Irvington, working on a wonderful old home on Hill Street. However, Mina had her job cut out for her in order to design an eclectic mid-mod mansion while maintaining its historical authenticity after encountering problems with the city.
In episode 4, Mina and the crew returned to Bates-Hendricks to renovate an old house with a two-story expansion and a separate revenue suite. But when serious issues with the structure come up, Mina finds it difficult to keep inside her budget while still building a luxury getaway.
In episode 5, Mina was assisting her friend with remodeling a historic Fountain Square residence into a salon for her own cosmetics company. They planned to incorporate a coffee shop into the remodeling, but if the health agency had intervened with unfavorable suggestions, things could have gotten ugly.
