Season 3 of Ginny & Georgia has finished filming and is now moving on to post-production. Tudum has confirmed that the first of two seasons ordered for the popular show is now done with filming. The series star Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny, shared her feelings with Tudum during the last few days on set.
“It’s always bittersweet to finish up a season,” she said. “I know we’re not even done yet, and we still have post-production and blah blah blah. But I just want to see what we’ve managed to create this season and see if people love it.”
Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia, also shared her thoughts. She said, “It’s so close, but there’s so much exciting stuff to do. We’re trying to take a lot of pictures, and I know in my heart that we have an amazing season ahead of us. Everyone’s worked so hard and the scripts are so good, and we’re just so proud.”
Additionally, two new actors will be joining the series. Ty Doran and Noah Lamanna are set to appear in recurring roles for Season 3.
Doran will play Wolfe, “a laid-back guy in Ginny’s poetry class who doesn’t particularly like poetry.” Lamanna will portray Tris, a friend of Marcus and Silver, described as “a skateboarder who is super smart and peer tutors.”
What to Expect in Ginny & Georgia Season 3
Season 2 ended with a shocking twist when Georgia was arrested. Season 3 will deal with the aftermath of her actions. Showrunner Sara Lampert spoke about Georgia’s decision, saying, “Georgia needed to kill someone, and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.”
Brianne Howey also hinted at what’s ahead for the characters, especially the mother-daughter pair. She said, “It’s not over until it’s over. We can’t wrap it up in a pretty bow.” She explained, “That’s not real life. That’s certainly not Georgia’s life. It never has been.
Why would it start to be her life now?” Lampert added that fans can expect “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges for Ginny and Georgia in ways we haven’t seen before.”
The main cast members returning for Season 3 include Antonia Gentry as Ginny, Brianne Howey as Georgia, Felix Mallard as Marcus, Sara Waisglass as Max, Diesel La Torraca as Austin, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen, Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Katie Douglas as Abby, Chelsea Clark as Norah, Nathan Mitchell as Zion, and Katelyn Wells as Silver. No other new cast members have been announced beyond Doran and Lamanna.
While the release date for Season 3 has not yet been announced, fans can look forward to updates soon. In the meantime, Seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on Netflix.
