Adapted from the British series having the same title, “Ghosts” is a sitcom television show which premiered for the first time on October 7, 2021. Created by Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Douglas, Ben Wilbond, Laurence Rickard, and Jim Howick, “Ghosts” is about two married people; Jay Arondekar and Samantha, who fall an heir to a dazzling county-house that once belonged to Sam’s distant relative.
However, to the couple’s dismay, they soon find out that the inherited house from Sophie Woodstone is not what it seems. Some people lost their souls in the mansion. As things start falling apart, the couple realizes that what was supposed to be a home for them is inhabited by ghosts. As long as the ghosts do not find their peace of mind and reach an afterlife, they are going to continue remaining bound to the house. The twist in the tale is while Samantha can feel and hear the presence of the ghosts, Jay is oblivious.
Fans of this sitcom television series have been beaming with anticipation and elation ever since the launch of its official trailer. With season 1 concluding its final episode in a cliffhanger, fans are excited to know how this thrilling sitcom will unfold itself in the upcoming episodes of season 2.
What happened in Ghosts Season 1?
After moving into a country house with the hope of starting a new chapter of their lives as a couple, Samantha and Jay collectively decide to start a bed and breakfast hearing which the ghosts who had been staying in the old mansion for thousands of years go to great lengths to chase them out of the house. After a failed attempt by the ghosts, which almost caused Samantha to die, she comes back with the ability to see and hear the ghosts.
As much as ignorant Samantha tries to be of the ability to see and hear ghosts that befell her, Samantha eventually comes to terms with the fact that her house is indeed haunted. When Jay disposes of the remains of one of the ghosts named Throffin during the time of renovations and decides to conduct a funeral in the name of Vikings, Throffin finally feels he is ready to go to an afterlife, only to realize it was a light coming from the cruiser of the police.
As the show proceeds further, fans get amused by the relationship that eventually begins to form between the couple and the ghosts.
Season 1 of the show concludes after Throffin reveals that it was because of his curse that Sam and Jay were unable to run their B&B. As Sam finally finds a way of getting rid of her post-accident ability to see and hear her ghost friends, she decides against it. Both Sam and Jay decide to overcome all the obstacles that will be thrown their way only so that they can start the business of their dreams.
Ghosts Season 2 Episode 1: Release date, time, and preview
“Ghosts” is not just humorous in its way, but it is also very arresting as, since the beginning of the series, the fans have remained engaged throughout. Ghosts Season 2 Episode 1 is going to air on September 29 at 8:30 p.m.
Titled “spies”, it is safe to assume that the stans of ‘Ghosts” are pretty much eager to find out what more the show has to offer. From the previous record, it is very much anticipated that the premiere episode would be a rollercoaster ride for the audience with hilarious and thrilling exchanges among the characters.
That said, the season also introduces two new characters at the newly launched B&B.
