However, during the landing, the reverse thrusters on their plane malfunctioned, resulting in the plane continuing down the runway at high speed until it reached the grass area, where it finally came to a stop.

During the plane’s landing on the strip, Iglesias mentioned experiencing “horrible” turbulence on the ground. He even got hit on his head from the ceiling of the plane. Thankfully, the news is that all passengers on the plane managed to escape the incident without sustaining any injuries.
At around 12:59 p.m. EDT, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office got a report stating that an aircraft had run off a runway. Fortunately, the Valleytown Fire and Rescue confirmed that there were no injuries resulting from the incident. Both the NTSB and FAA will proceed with their further investigations, as stated by the sheriff’s office.
