Recent discussions among netizens in China have brought to light intriguing details about G-Dragon’s anticipated album release, originally slated for November 2023. According to a post shared by a student close to KB Lee, a friend of G-Dragon, the BIGBANG leader had been diligently working on his album at The Black Label studio.
Despite departing YG Entertainment at the end of the previous year, G-Dragon maintained ties with renowned producer Teddy, who operates under The Black Label. The completion of G-Dragon’s album was a collaborative effort with YG Entertainment, with a release scheduled for November 2023.
However, plans took an unexpected turn when G-Dragon faced false drug allegations on October 25, 2023. The ensuing controversy caused significant distress for the artist and led to the postponement of the album release.
In early 2023, G-Dragon announced a new project under YG Entertainment, referred to as the G-Division project, marking his return to the music scene after five years since his last EP, “Kwon Jiyong.” This announcement coincided with the planned release timeline for his album.
Subsequently, G-Dragon parted ways with YG Entertainment and transitioned to Galaxy Corp. Following the departure, G-Dragon personally took charge of restarting and refining the album, signaling a fresh start in his musical journey.
Galaxy Corp. recently released a comprehensive long-term schedule for G-Dragon, confirming his comeback in the latter half of 2024. There are also discussions about a potential World Tour to celebrate the artist’s return to the spotlight.
G-Dragon’s resilience and dedication to his craft amid challenges underscore the anticipation and excitement surrounding his upcoming album and future endeavors. Fans eagerly await the next chapter in the legendary artist’s illustrious career.
