Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fans have done it once again. They have shown why they are called the worst fandom of all time. And this isn’t a new thing, this has been going on for a long period of time.
I’m not saying that the whole fandom is the worst, but the small portion of it who thinks that no anime could ever be greater than them. Every fandom has a dark side to it, whether it may be One Piece fans calling everyone weak for not watching 1000+ episodes or Boruto fans who think Boruto is the best thing that has ever been created.
Just like that, we have Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fandom who can’t bear to see any anime better than theirs. So, in this article, we will be taking a look at what they did to Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Gets DownVoted
Just recently, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End was rated the best anime of all time with a rating of 9.10 on an anime rating site named Myanimelist. However, the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fandom couldn’t bear to see their favorite anime in the second position, so they did what they also do, downvote.
As soon as they saw the news that Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is now the best-rated anime on the site, they gathered up all their forces and went on a mission to downvote it.
When the news came out that Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is now the best-rated anime, what do you think Weebs’ reaction to this would have been? They all commented the same thing, “It’s going gonna go down soon by Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fandom.”
Everyone saw this coming from a thousand miles away since it is inevitable that any anime would never get ranked in the top position until & useless Fmab toxic fans exist.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a newly released anime, and its fandom is just being developed, so there is no way that they could win this fight. Even popular anime like Attack on Titan couldn’t win the fight against them.
History of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Down Voting
From the time Myanimelist was made, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood was on the top for a long time, and not a single anime came close to defeating it. However, there was an anime born to change the hierarchy, to bring a revolution, and it was none other than Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 (2019).
It was probably the best season of Attack on Titan that has ever been made, so it was reasonable for it to rank at the top. However, a small portion of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fandom couldn’t bear to see their anime that was ranked at the top for so long getting on the season position.
So they gathered a small number of people and started a campaign to downvote Attack on Titan so it couldn’t take their place. They were successful for the first time, and this was the start of toxicity in the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fandom.
Now it was the time in 2020 when a popular anime named Gintama was quickly getting better reviews from everyone, and with that rating, it became the second most-rated anime. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood toxic fans saw a challenge coming from far away, so they started another campaign of downvoting before Gintama could ever reach the second position.
So, now it’s the year 2021 when Attack on Titan once again released its amazing season, season 4. With Season 4, Attack on Titan was able to dethrone Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood from the top position and become the best-rated anime.
And once again, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood toxic fans began a campaign to downvote it. However, Attack on Titan fans weren’t going down without a fight, so they also started downvoting Fmab. However, they weren’t strong enough to fight against experienced toxic fans, and thus, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood reclaimed its top position,
This isn’t something that only happened with Attack on Titan. Many animes come and go, like Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, Kaguya Sama: Love is War, Fruit Basket, Boichi the Rock, Oshi no Ko, Spy X Family, etc.
The list of victims would keep going on if I had to name all of them. This downvoting culture will keep going on from one generation to another until the anime site doesn’t bring a solution to this.
