Liv Morgan’s recent return to wrestling wasn’t the immediate rise she hoped for, but she never forgets how grateful she is for WWE.
Interestingly, a seemingly unrelated job played a key role in her journey – her time working at Hooters. During a podcast interview, Morgan revealed how Hooters helped turn her wrestling dreams into reality.
Liv Morgan’s Unexpected Journey
Her love for wrestling was no secret to her coworkers, and she’d often have WWE matches playing on the TV at work. It was during this time that a famous wrestler (whose name wasn’t mentioned) visited the Hooters.
As a huge wrestling fan, Morgan recognized the wrestler and introduced herself. She passionately expressed her desire to become a wrestler, initially met with a chuckle. But Morgan’s enthusiasm and wrestling knowledge impressed the visitor, who connected her with a renowned strength and conditioning coach, Joe DeFranco.
DeFranco, known for training professional athletes, including Triple H, saw potential in Morgan despite her lack of formal training. He put her through rigorous workouts alongside NFL athletes.
Her dedication caught DeFranco’s eye, and he recommended her to contacts within WWE. This led to a WWE contract by October of that year, and Morgan’s wrestling career officially began.
