In the previous chapter, The Emperor and Pichon are dancing at a festival, and this time their relationship seems to be lively. While Pichon is enjoying his time with the Emperor, the Emperor suddenly asks Pichon questions regarding his thoughts of him.
Pichon replied that he sees him just as he is, prosperous and extravagant in his eyes, this reply seemed to have displeased the Emperor for some reason, and he abruptly ended the dance. Later on, we got to see some inner workings and politics within the place.
The Imperial city is like the Emperor’s meticulously maintained backyard, and even the dancers at the festival were hired by the Emperor.
Pichon gets confused when the Emperor suddenly ends their dance, and he starts thinking if all that happened for him in this life is just the same as his previous life and what if the current Emperor of this timeline is manipulative and smart. Pichon’s thoughts had meaning, and he decided to take some time and truly think of his goal, which was to be saved from the time loop.
