The drummer passed away in Bogota where the band was slated to play a festival gig that same day. The Colombia police authorities later revealed that the artist was found dead with multiple drugs in his system and that he repeatedly suffered from an enlarged heart. However, the cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Taylor Hawkins had earlier revealed in an interview how he pushed the band to go bigger as a live act as he believed that they gotta be a f*****g arena-rock band and that’s what he told his bandmates.
Foo Fighters are nominated for three back-to-back awards for the night which include Making a Fire” for Best Rock Performance, “Waiting on a War under the Best Rock Song category, and Medicine at Midnight for Best Rock Album as well. We all would surely miss the band performing while feeling the absence of the late drummer.
