Ric Flair, a wrestling icon, has opened up about a past health scare and WWE’s actions during that time. While Flair’s career has been legendary, his health outside the ring hasn’t always been smooth sailing. In 2017, he battled a series of serious issues, including a ruptured intestine, kidney failure, and sepsis.
This difficult period also included a near-death experience. Recently, it was revealed that WWE, aware of Flair’s health struggles, prepared three different versions of Monday Night RAW in case he didn’t survive 2017.
“Love Never Dies”
Flair, now with AEW, responded to this news on Twitter with a heartfelt message. He acknowledged WWE’s respect and expressed his enduring love for the company, regardless of where he wrestles.
“This Is What Everyone In Any Place In The Wrestling Business Dreams Of- RESPECT!” Flair tweeted. “Regardless Of Who I Work For, I Will Always Love The @WWE For The Respect They Have Shown Me!”
Flair’s wrestling career seemingly ended in July 2022 with an event titled “Ric Flair’s Last Match.” Unfortunately, the match wasn’t without its scare, as Flair reportedly suffered a real heart attack during it.
Thankfully, he has since recovered and joined AEW. While his future in the ring remains uncertain, fans ultimately just want to see Ric Flair healthy and happy.
