Seungmin and Seonhoo will have some serious talk regarding Eunha and how it will not be okay for the others to reach her. The tension for the female lead and the two contenders are ready to fight it out. However, It remains to be seen how Eunha will react to that information in First Love, Lasting Hate Chapter 18.
The not-so-predictable premise of the story has gone down the same route as most romance stories. And this was clear from not only the first chapter but also the title of the series itself indicating it will be a Yume Joshi type of story. But then again, most Korean romance stories follow the same tropes and beats when it comes to this genre.
However, there is a certain charm to the way they tackle romance, a teen-like wonder can always be felt in these stories. Speaking of which, there was a similar scenario in the last few chapters as well. The scene where the innocent female lead is stuck between a friend and the crush of her dreams.
Recap
First Love, Lasting Hate Chapter 17 starts with Seonhoo and Eunha chatting about the subjects they were telling. For context, Eunha had gotten into teaching a guy who was in the same class as her and was lacking in some subjects. But, Seonhoo uses it as a ploy to get closer to Eunha instead of learning anything much of value from her.
Eunha was her usual studious self with Seonhoo and focused on getting things done for the day. However, they weren’t making a lot of progress that day so she decided that they should leave for a nearby cafe. Which turned out to be not a good idea for her, but the plot was starting to slow down so there was a surprising waiting in the cafe.
When the two reached the cafe, they met Seunghoo who was working part-time in the shop. Seungmin talked casually to Eunha and ignored the other guest who had shown up with her. However, the male lead noticed the guy eventually and asked him what his deal was and how he was related to Eunha.
Spoilers
First Love, Lasting Hate Chapter 18 will start with Seungmin gaslighting Seonhoo to get him out of Eunha’s reach. Seungmin is a former Yankee and does all sorts of things to get out of other people. Lying is as natural as breathing for him, and he also has a vested interest in Eunha due to their shared past.
Eunha has tried to steer away from him and live a slice-of-life type of life in the college. But, that didn’t last long, not even a chapter long before she contradicted herself. The irrationality took the better part of her mind when dealing with the male lead, and thus, her romance saga in college began.
However, most romancer stories have an unwritten rule where they have to go on for many chapters and have many understandings. That is the basic essence of the genre, as, without drama, there can’t be any romance. We will be saying some drama in the upcoming chapters as the male leads gaslight one another.
