The latest Famitsu Most Wanted Games rankings have introduced a notable new entry, with Final Fantasy Resonance making its debut as Japanese players continue to vote for their most anticipated upcoming titles.

Based on reader votes collected between June 24 and June 30, the latest chart also highlights the continued rise of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2, which has now reached the top 10.

Final Fantasy Resonance joins the rankings

According to Famitsu, Final Fantasy Resonance debuted at No. 24 on the list with 99 votes. Although the game entered near the bottom of the rankings, its arrival suggests growing anticipation ahead of its planned October release on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The weekly poll reflects the preferences of Japanese readers and often serves as an indicator of which upcoming titles are gaining momentum in the region.

The latest chart remains heavily dominated by Nintendo Switch 2 releases. Pokémon Winds and Waves retained first place with 700 votes, followed by Splatoon Raiders in second and Persona 4 Revival for PlayStation 5 in third.

One of the week’s biggest movers is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which climbed to sixth place with 249 votes, continuing its steady rise toward the top of the rankings.

Other notable Switch 2 titles in the top 10 include Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave at fourth and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World at ninth. Meanwhile, PlayStation 5 exclusives such as Grand Theft Auto 6, Ace Combat 8, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation also maintained strong positions.

Famitsu appears to have mistakenly listed the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Village in the Shade twice in this week’s rankings, suggesting the duplicate entry is likely a publishing error.
