Recap of FBI: International Season 2 Episode 2
An internet predator harasses young girls online and texts them in the first scene of FBI: International episode 2. Because he doesn’t reside in the United States, the internet predator thinks he can run away with it.
The team is brought in to handle a case involving an internet predator who is kidnapping teenage girls in the United States. He has already given their family and friends access to five girls’ private and compromising footage. More than 30 juvenile females, the youngest of whom was 12 years old, had been the victims of the suspect using various names.
The team receives a lead from a man called Andor Molnar with cooperation from the local police in Budapest. Molnar claims that the suspect employs military-grade encryption and maintains a number of chat groups that are only accessible by invitation.
The suspect again erred when hacking Maya, so they are eventually able to pin down his whereabouts. They go outside to apprehend him, but he escapes. They broke into his room, but the culprit had set up a killing switch that encrypted and erased all of the data on his computer. The FBI will require the suspect’s key in order to decrypt the data.
Charlotte bravely stands up once more, and because of her, they are able to apprehend the culprit and end the investigation.
