FX’s successful series based upon the Academy Award-winning feature film by the Coen Brothers is back for another slew of chapters on Fargo Season 5. A story —much like in the film— storywise, everything that can go wrong goes wrong, and it gets bloody.
With a star-studded cast including Jon Hamm, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Juno Temple, and others, we’re set for another season of plotting, murder, and police investigative conspiracies that will make our jaws drop.
And ahead of its premiere, we prepared for you all the details necessary for you to enjoy this FX series. You’ll find out a few details about the story, the when and how to watch it. So, if you’re as excited as us to see another season of Fargo, come with us as we share with you these pieces of information that will make your viewing experience more enjoyable.
This season of Fargo takes place in 2019, with the story developing between Minnesota and North Dakota, and of course, in the cold winter where the white snow gets tainted red with the blood of the victims.
We meet Dot, a housewife who has a story that makes your bones chill. Besides taking care of the house, it turns out Dot is very proficient at defending herself from those who want to attack her, and that trait might come back to bite her in the ass.
We meet Tillman, a man who wants to get Dot, and we also meet Gator, who’s in cahoots with Tillman (Gator is Tillman’s son). Together, they hire a dude that goes by the strange alias of Ole Munch.
This season involves Dot’s family, and we’re going to see how those family interactions, which include Dot’s mother-in-law who despises her, a shady lawyer with a very lax sense of morality and looming threats, we’re in for another very cold winter where blood will be spilled, people will get hurt, and we will be amazed at how the plot thickens.
For this fifth season, we have Jon Hamm (from Mad Men) as Sheriff Roy Tillman, Juno Temple (from Notes on a Scandal), as Dot Lyon, the housewife, Jennifer Jason Leigh (from Fast Times at Ridgemont High), Joe Keery (from Stranger Things) as Gator, Lamorne Morris (from Call me Kat) as Witt Farr, and Richa Moorjani (from Never Have I Ever) as Indira Olmstead. Rounding up the cast we have David Rysdahl, Jessica Pohly, Dave Foley, Lukas Gage, and Sam Spruell
