3rd Generation K-pop boy group OnlyOneOf recently faced troubling incidents during their 2024 world tour, particularly in South America, where certain fans crossed boundaries by hugging and kissing member Rie without his consent.
During their American tour leg, Rie shared on the fan communication platform Bubble that some fans were overly passionate and physically invasive. Many fans asked to hug him after photos, and at least three fans even kissed him on the cheeks without permission before quickly leaving.
“I wasn’t the one who kissed them, they kissed me and then ran away. It’d be worrying if I kissed them,” Rie revealed, expressing his discomfort with the situation. He emphasized that if fans had asked for a kiss, he would have declined.
Rie’s disclosure has sparked concerns among fans, criticizing the tour organizer for being strict in unnecessary areas while failing to protect artists adequately. Many fans believe that those who cross boundaries should be blacklisted from future events to ensure the safety and respect of artists during fan interactions.
The incidents highlight the need for improved security measures and respect for idols’ boundaries during fan events.
