Liu taunts Tao about staying at home and how they won’t be able to pay the rent if they don’t earn money soon and will go hungry. No one is taking the job because they believe that the House of Si is hell because of the two brothers. Tao decides to find out for herself what the job is about and the House of Si.
Upon arriving at the House of Si, she is instantly given the job of taking care of the house because there are no other applicants, and the current worker Dang Sansi and her father are leaving the job because Sanis is of age and will be married next month. The next day Tao arrives at the House of Si, and while doing her job, she gets along with Sansi. She learns that Sansi is in love with the second young master but won’t tell him because it is enough for her to look at him. Later that night, Yun Yang’s spirit disturbs Tao’s sleep and begins to tell her about Sansi and herself and how he wants to help her talk to the second young master.
