The plot is based on a hi who is still studying in high school. Her name is Eun Da Oh. One day, she comes across the fact that the world she is in is actually a comic book series. Her character does not have much of a personality, as the writer did not give her any. Everyone else around her are character dancing through the imagination of the author.
Even though she is the lead in this story, her character is just an extra in the comic written by the Writer. Her character arc is pretty lame given that she is engaged to her long-time crush, who does not even like her. Dan Oh is suffering from heart disease and will die pretty soon. Dan Oh is obviously not okay with her fate and decides to change it all and take the matter into her own hands. She goes on an adventure to find herself own self and fall in love with someone she likes. Da Oh wants nothing but to let herself free from the control of this anonymous writer. Her expectations start becoming even more true when she comes across a nameless student who is known as 13.

What Happens When The Writer Write The Extras Off?
Although, everything begins to fall apart between the two of them because of the writer. The author is trying to have a parallel in the story with his older work called Neungsohwa. Although, it is obvious that if Dan Oh wishes to change her fate, it will come at a solid price to be paid. Her romance with student number 13, whom she renames Haru, is also at stake. Now, let us understand what actually went down in the show and how things ended for Dan Oh.
We know that Dan Oh has a bucket list. She wants to do and achieve certain things before she dies of the illness that the writer has given her. As for Ha Ru, he is trying very hard not to have a meltdown before the girl he loves. In the penultimate episode of the drama, we see that the arts are gone into oblivion, and Ha Ru’s name tag has also become blank. This comes with the news that extras are disappearing from the comic world. Jinmichae is also trying to make things work out. She arranges a farewell date for all the characters who have been a part of the story thus far. Ha Ru and Dan Oh are also invited to the party.

With the ending episode, we saw a lot of heartbreak involving around our main characters or the side extra characters in the story as we shall address them. Ha Ru is disintegrating into darkness, and he is spending his last few moments with Dan Oh before going. His scar is fading away slowly and swallowing him up.
They are inside a book called Secret, which the writer is writing, and it is about to end. The writer provides an end scene where we see Dan Oh along with the rest of her colleagues one year later. She is graduating from school. As the characters bid goodbye to each other to potentially start a new life in college after school, the book comes to an official end.
