The Chapter opens up with Ilhan finishing up making a metal heart-enhanced pile bunker. The purpose of this is to allow Ilhan to kill a high-level monster with one hit which is necessary for his level-up. Ilhan thinks that he can’t just use the pile bunker at level 5 if he wants to use it more than once, as the durability won’t hold out.
Ilhan then thinks that he should make a long-range weapon, but his inability to handle mana would make guns and arrows practically useless. Ilhan grins and decides to go with Atlatl, which is a spear with a hook at its end that provides higher destructive power and range. It is also good for Ilhan as he has spear arts skills.
Ilhan begins making the Atlatl when he notices the black scythe lying in the corner. He throws away the black robe he obtained earlier because he doesn’t want more stealth, but he finds the Scythe useful because of its high possibility of critical hits. Ilhan thinks that the Scythe is a bit lacking, so he decides to melt it and make a spear out of it.
Ilhan puts the scythe in the eternal flames, but somehow the scythe does not melt. Suddenly a black aura emerges from the scythe, which scares Ilhan.
The aura disappears soon as it enters the magical enters and after a while, the scythe also melts. Ilhan couldn’t understand what had just happened, but he ignored it and got back to his smithing.
Ertha and Rita arrive in the room, but Ilhan doesn’t notice them as he’s too busy making the spear. Rita feels proud of Ilhan for working so hard, but Ertha gets rather annoyed.

Rita gets angry because she worked hard in heaven, and so she wants some free time, but Ertha and Ilhan are still talking about work. Ilhan then asks Ertha to give him his reward for saving an angel. He asks Ertha to make his bag rot preventative. Ertha asks him if he would be okay with just that, which shocks Ilhan as she never talks that way.
Ertha says that Ilhan deserves way more than this, and then she improves his bag. Ertha then tells Ilhan that she’s not the only one rewarding him. She then tells Rita to present her reward.
