One of the all-time greats in professional wrestling, Randy Orton has had a lengthy and prosperous career with the WWE. Having over twenty years of experience in the industry, Orton has won fourteen world championships. After recovering from back surgery, he just resumed his quest to become a 15-time champion.
Before his Elimination Chamber match, Orton made an appearance at the show’s press conference. There, he spoke to the assembled WWE Universe about his difficult journey, his desire to win the World Championship on the biggest stage for the fifteenth time, and his quick jabs at John Cena and The Rock.
Randy Orton not going to Hollywood
During the Elimination Chamber 2024 Press Conference in Perth, Australia, Randy Orton mentioned that his first international tour with WWE took place in Australia 22 years ago. He declared that this would be his tenth visit to the Elimination Chamber.
He reported that his recent back surgery went extremely well and that he is feeling better than he has in ten years. He claims that his spine contains a lot more metal than the entire chamber does. Orton stated, “I want to win the Chamber match so I can go to my 19th WrestleMania.”
“I love to do this; this is what I do. I will not travel to Hollywood. I refuse to spend twelve hours a day, six days a week, behind a screen on the set. I adore you because I’ll be right here doing things like this in front of people who are appreciative of what I do and when I do it.
After R-Truth, Randy Orton currently holds the second-longest tenure on the company’s active roster. Prominent WWE figures, like The Rock, Batista, John Cena, and others, left the organization to pursue their film careers in Hollywood or to work as part-time wrestlers. Nevertheless, despite suffering severe injuries, Orton is still employed by the business.
