However, he got transported into the same world and into the body of that character, leaving him helpless in the new body and new world. His pursuit of drugs led him to some high-bounty criminals and, in turn, made him famous. But with fame comes problems, and in this world, that meant enemies that were going for his head. All the while, Lenoch looks for a way out of the world and returns to home in some way.

Drug-Eating Genius Mage Chapter 38 saw the mercenaries being shocked as Lenoch took care of everything by himself. They didn’t treat him better ever since he had joined their group, but Lenoch didn’t care, for he was only concerned about the reward. And when the time came, he tried to take care of many wolves as possible.
Their ignorance of his abilities, along with the difficulty of the task, was a blessing in disguise as they didn’t interrupt him when he took them out. There was another character that was taking out wolves alongside him, but she didn’t belong to the mercenaries either.
The Levi-like character (the one from Black Lagoon) enjoyed killing the wolves and didn’t bother with the mercs either.
The mercs were angry that neither of them offered a hand to them when they were stuck in the hole. And one of them even tried to get rough with Lenoch but was given a static shock for treatment. This led to that character being knocked out while others were humbled and decided to take a human approach to dealing with him.

As for the contents of the next chapter, Lenoch will go back to his dealer and get more info about his next task. And in the meantime, he will be collecting some of the supplies to keep himself in top shape while also preparing to get his hands on the newer model. However, the new quests will have something interesting for him, and it will lead to a new arc.
