“8 AM in Charlotte,” a brand-new song by Drake, was recently released. He shocked everyone by posting the song and music video on social media. His kid Adonis is shown in the video.
Adonis introduces Drake to a piece of his artwork at the start of the video. Drake remarks that it appears to be a short story and points out that the drawing features a goat with the word “Daddy” next to it.
When Drake asks if it’s him, Adonis answers, “It’s Daddy Goat.” It makes great sense to Drake, who declares, “That makes perfect sense to me.”
On his upcoming album, “For All the Dogs,” which is anticipated to arrive on October 6, Drake’s brand-new song “8 AM in Charlotte” is probably going to be included. Drake opted to postpone the album’s release so he could concentrate on his tour; it was originally scheduled to drop on September 22.
He informed his audience that he had the option of postponing shows in order to finish the album or releasing it prior to the last performance.
He reaffirmed his dedication to creating lifelong moments with his fans and vowed to make up for any missed chances. So, “For All the Dogs” has been rescheduled until October 6, which, in his opinion, is the best choice.
On October 9, Drake’s tour will come to a conclusion. On October 6, “For All the Dogs” will be released, which is interestingly also the day of the first of his two local performances in Toronto. Drake also previously released the album’s lead single, “Slime You Out,” which includes SZA. This is their first project together.
Who is Drake?
Rapper and musician Aubrey Drake Graham is from Canada and has had a big influence on modern music. He is credited with introducing singing and R&B into hip-hop.
Drake’s role as Jimmy Brooks on the CTV teen drama series “Degrassi: The Next Generation” from 2001 to 2008 helped him gain notoriety.
He made the decision to pursue a career in music in 2006, and in February of that year, “Room for Improvement” was the title of his debut mixtape.
Before joining Young Money Entertainment, he continued with mixtapes, including “Comeback Season” in 2007 and “So Far Gone” in 2009.
Critics appreciated Drake’s first three albums, “Thank Me Later” in 2010, “Take Care” in 2011, and “Nothing Was the Same” in 2013, which all contributed to his rise to prominence in the hip-hop world.
His fourth album, “Views” from 2016, featured dancehall music and spent 13 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. With this success, it became the first album by a male performer to accomplish so in more than ten years.
It featured popular songs like “Hotline Bling” and “One Dance,” which had a significant impact on the global acceptance of Afrobeats.
Songs like “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” and “In My Feelings” from Drake’s double album “Scorpion,” which was released in 2018, all peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Drake, also an entrepreneur
Drake is an entrepreneur in addition to being a musician. He and his longtime partner, 40, co-founded the OVO Sound record label in 2012.
He began serving as the Toronto Raptors’ “global ambassador” in 2013, joining their executive committee and receiving naming rights for their practice facility. He then collaborated with Brent Hocking to produce Virginia Black bourbon whiskey in 2016.
Drake has ties to the fashion industry. He is the creative director of the OVO fashion label and works with Nike on the Nocta line. He founded Better World, a fragrance firm, as well as the production company DreamCrew.
It’s interesting to note that in 2018, reports said Drake was in charge of 5% of Toronto’s annual tourism revenue, or CAD$440 million, of the city’s CAD$8.8 billion in tourism-related revenue. Additionally, he acquired a portion of the Italian soccer team AC Milan in 2022.
