Recap
In the previous chapter of Dragon-Devouring Mage, Russel manages to blast the huge monster away and win by killing him. The skeleton of the monster begins moving and talking on its own, and it says some weird and ominous things about his father.
The fans were all confused since a new question about Russel’s father’s death had been dropped. Russel obviously was agitated by the skeleton’s remarks, and the skeleton went as far as saying that he would find out the truth about his father’s death and how his last moments were like soon enough in a mocking tone.
Mostly what made them anxious was that they had absolutely no idea who that guy was and how he got close to their border. As any good tactician, the leader believed it was absolutely imperative to crush that mage before he could grow any further and help the Endymion.
The leader talked about dispatching some seemingly crazy guy to terminate Russel, which we see later on. After the battle was over, Russel went ahead to gather himself, and he obviously noticed some people following him. Soon enough, the crazy guy called Spandom attacked him out of nowhere and Russel barely dodged the attack.
He seemed to know who Spandom was, and the guy was giving some seriously deranged and psychopathic vibes. Well, he proved to be true to his reputation, and he looked absolutely ecstatic at the prospect of killing Russel. Russel was given a new mission to escape with his life.
