During the Summer Games Fest, Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the newest entry in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi arena fighter series, is slated for release on October 11.
Players can anticipate its availability on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, accompanied by the revealing of a fresh trailer.
Pre-orders for the game will allow players to unlock six characters early. Additionally, the game will offer several editions: a Premium Collector’s Edition, a Deluxe Edition, and an Ultimate Edition.
Those who purchase any of these editions will gain early access to the game three days before its official release.
The initial roster of 24 characters includes fan favorites like Goku and Vegeta and their various transformations.
It also features multiple versions of Gohan and Trunks, as well as characters such as Videl, Beerus, Whis, Master Roshi, Piccolo, Krillin, and Yamcha.
New additions include future versions of Android 17 and Android 18, Nappa, and members of the Ginyu Force.
Characters capable of fusion through the Fusion Dance or Potara Earrings are also included. These characters and their fused forms add to the extensive roster, featuring Trunks (Kid), Goten, Caulifla, Kale, and their powerful fusions like Gotenks, Kefla, Vegito, Gogeta, and Fused Zamasu in various forms.
The Budokai Tenkaichi series began with its first game launched in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. Subsequent games were released on both PlayStation 2 and Wii platforms, with the latest being Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PlayStation Portable in 2010.
This new release marks the series’ return after more than a decade, promising exciting updates and a rich character lineup for fans.
