Dispatch generated an estimated $68 million in Steam revenue over the 12 months covered by Aream & Co.’s Q3 2026 gaming industry report, placing it among the platform’s top-grossing indie games. The game appears alongside Slay the Spire II and Wardogs in the report’s list of leading indie releases, highlighting the commercial reach of independent games on PC.
The report also found that indie game revenue on Steam increased 20% year over year. The figures cover the 12 months ending in Q3 2026 and represent industry estimates, rather than revenue officially disclosed by Dispatch developer AdHoc Studio.
DISPATCH JOINS STEAM’S LEADING INDIE GAMES
Released on October 22, 2025, Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy developed and published by AdHoc Studio. The game follows Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, whose destroyed mech suit forces him to take a job at a superhero dispatch center. Instead of fighting every battle himself, he manages a team of former supervillains while steering workplace relationships and personal conflicts.
According to the game’s official Steam page, player choices influence the story, character relationships and the outcomes of missions. Its combination of narrative decisions, strategic hero deployment and workplace comedy gives it a different approach to the superhero genre.

Aream & Co.’s report lists Slay the Spire II at $152 million in Steam revenue over the same 12-month period, followed by Wardogs at $103 million and Dispatch at $68 million. These estimates place the game among the report’s notable indie performers, although they do not represent developer profit after production costs and platform fees.
The performance of Dispatch comes as Steam continues to expand. Aream & Co. estimates that Steam generated $5.4 billion in revenue during Q3 2026, an increase of 10% year over year. Revenue over the trailing 12 months also rose 14%.
Indie games recorded stronger growth than co-op games in the report, with indie revenue increasing 20% compared with 7% for co-op titles. The figures suggest that independent releases remain an important part of Steam’s business, alongside larger productions.
AdHoc Studio has also highlighted the game’s wider reach on its official website, which reports more than four million players and multiple BAFTA wins. While player numbers and estimated Steam revenue measure different things, both provide context for the game’s success.
Dispatch’s reported $68 million in Steam revenue makes it one of the notable independent releases in Aream & Co.’s Q3 2026 analysis, while the broader figures point to continued growth for indie games on PC.
