Fall is almost here, and Disney+ is welcoming the season with a fantastic array of content, both fresh and familiar.

This September, the streaming platform is bringing in a mix of animated delights, thrilling dramas, and reality shows that will keep audiences entertained.

Whether you’re a fan of LEGOs, Marvel superheroes, or returning reality hits, there’s something for everyone. In this article, we’ll take a look at ten of the most anticipated shows and movies arriving on Disney+ in September 2024.

Keep in mind that some of these titles may require an additional subscription to Hulu, as Disney+ and Hulu continue to share content.

1. ‘English Teacher’ Season 1

  • Available: September 2, 2024 (Weekly, with a two-episode premiere; airs first on FX and next day on Hulu)

  • Cast: Brian Jordan Alvarez, Savanna Gann, Sarah Kopkin, Emily Topper, and more

Kicking off the month is FX’s brand-new original comedy, English Teacher. Set in a high school, this show is led by Evan (Brian Jordan Alvarez), a passionate educator determined to teach his students important life lessons.

Much like Abbott Elementary, English Teacher takes a humorous yet heartfelt look at the everyday challenges faced by teachers.

The rebellious nature of high school students adds tension to Evan’s well-intended efforts, making for some truly funny moments.

The series debuted with two episodes on FX on September 2, 2024, and became available on Disney+ via Hulu the following day. New episodes will continue to release weekly.

2. ‘LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons’ (Mini-series)

  • Available: September 4, 2024 (Full series)
  • Genre: Family, Comedy, Animation

The beloved characters of Pixar are getting a brick makeover with LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons, a limited series that reimagines iconic moments from popular Pixar films.

From Cars and Finding Nemo to Brave and The Incredibles, this series presents short animated stories in a LEGO-ized style that is sure to delight fans of all ages.

Although it is billed as a mini-series, there’s always the possibility of future installments featuring even more Pixar classics like Toy Story or WALL-E.

The entire mini-series became available to stream on Disney+ on September 4, 2024.

3. ‘The Old Man’ Season 2

  • Available: September 12, 2024 (Weekly, two episodes at launch; airs first on FX and next day on Hulu)
  • Genre: Action, Drama
  • Created by: Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine
  • Cast: Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman, and Bill Heck

After a long wait, Jeff Bridges returns as Dan Chase, the former CIA agent seeking revenge for personal losses, in the second season of The Old Man.

Season 1 ended with Chase barely escaping danger, and Season 2 promises to deliver even more high-stakes action as Chase shows a complex world of espionage and vengeance. Bridges’ performance, alongside the gripping drama, has fans eager for this season.

The season premiered with two episodes on FX on September 12, 2024, with the episodes arriving on Disney+ via Hulu the next day. Weekly episodes will continue to release.

4. ‘LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy’ (Mini-series)

  • Available: September 13, 2024 (Full series)
  • Genre: Family, Comedy, Animation
  • Cast: Mark Hamill, Gaten Matarazzo, Bobby Moynihan, and more

Joining the lineup of LEGO-inspired series is LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, a humorous take on the Star Wars universe. This “What If?”-style series introduces an alternate reality where heroes become villains and vice versa.

A young character named Sib Greebling stumbles upon a mysterious brick that alters the galaxy, creating hilarious chaos.

Mark Hamill reprises his role as Luke Skywalker, though this time as a laid-back beach bum version of the iconic Jedi, while Ahmed Best voices an alternate Sith version of Jar Jar Binks.

The complete series is available to stream now, offering Star Wars fans a fresh and fun spin on familiar characters.

5. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 33
