For some of us who know the story, 20 years ago, David Beckham was accused of cheating on his wife, Victoria, and the story was not glamorous for Posh and Beck. While the lovebirds denied the allegations and supported each other, it was a difficult time for them, which they’d finally spoken about.
The couple has finally released the long-awaited Beckham documentary, and with its release, the infamous scandal is being reviewed.
How David and Victoria Met
David and Victoria Beckham met in 1997 at a charity football match. Back then, David was just an upcoming athlete no one knew, while Victoria was at the top of her fame and glory with the music group Spice Girls.
The Spice Girls is an English all-girl music group formed in 1994. It consisted of Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice).
David played for Manchester United, and Victoria was in the teams’ lounge when she saw David. According to her, it was love at first sight.
Did David Beckham Cheat on Victoria?
David and Victoria were not even married for 6 years when Rebecca Loos appeared in April 2004 and claimed to have had an affair with David. According to the gist, Loos said she worked as David’s assistant.
This was when he was with Real Madrid Football Club in 2003. After she (Loos) was fired from her job, she came out and dropped the massive bombshell on David.
Funny enough, Loos is not the only woman whom David has been accused of cheating with. Victoria wrote in her book ‘Learning to Fly’ about all the rumors that David had kissed another woman while she was pregnant with their first child, Brooklyn Joseph Beckham.
David again denied all affair allegations against him by two more women, Sarah Marbeck and Danielle Heath.

In 2003, David left for Spain to play for Real Madrid. A few months later, reports began to fly off the charts that he was seen with a ‘mystery woman.’
Then, Victoria was back home in England, looking after their two children, Brooklyn and Romeo. Loos reported that she’s slept with David many times, and they have exchanged several messages and calls.
Who is Rebecca Loos?
Rebecca Loos was a 26-year-old working as David’s assistant in Spain at the time of the scandal.
Later, she became a glamour model and socialite. She appeared on several reality TV programs such as Celebrity Love Island and Temptation Island. These days, Loos seems to have no juice for the spotlight and seems to have left it all behind. She now works in Denmark teaching yoga.
However, since the Beckham documentary’s release, she has faced much backlash and anger for the comments she made years ago about David and his family.
Victoria Opens Up About David’s Affair Rumors
In August 2007, Victoria broke her silence about David’s alleged infidelity for the first time. This was during a joint interview with David. She told W Magazine it was a tough time for her and her family, stating that she and her husband, David, got through the mess as a family.
It seems David and Victoria have put those hard times behind them finally. But in a 2023 Netflix documentary called Beckham, they spoke about what they went through and how they overcame the difficulties. Victoria said 2004 was the “hardest period” of her marriage to David.
“It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life,” she finally admitted. “It felt like the world was against us. We were against each other if I’m being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else, but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other, either, and that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.”
David also threw in his feelings on the matter, stating that he didn’t exactly know how they survived and got through it. He also mentioned that his wife, Victoria, was everything to him, and he wouldn’t want to see her hurt, for that to happen and see her in that state had been incredibly difficult for him. But since they were both fighters, they had to fight for each other and for their family.
