What happens when your crush reciprocates your feelings and starts to make a move even though his family objects to your relationship? Well, a film titled Through My Windows was brought to the audience in 2022, which followed Raquel as she has a crush on Ares, her hot neighbor, and the development that happened in their relationship after Ares began to reciprocate Raquel’s feelings.
The sequel to Through My Window, titled Through My Window Across The Sea, released in 2023, follows the next chapter of the life of Ares and Raquel as they face the challenges of life together.
The sequel focuses on the further development which took place in their relationship after the events of the first film. Directed by MMarcal Fores, the film didn’t receive the same amount of love and attention that the first part of the film garnered from the viewers. Both of the films are available for fans to stream via the streaming giant Netflix.
The supporting cast of the film consists of Guillermo Lasheras playing the role of Yoshi, Natalia Azahara playing the role of Daniella, Hugo Arbues playing the role of Apolo Hidalgo, Eric Masip playing the role of Artemis Hidalgo, Ivan Lapadula playing the role of Gregory, Carla Tous playing the role of Anna, and Rachel Lascar playing the role of Sofia Hidalgo. Who Are Raquel And Ares?
Raquel is a fictional character in Through My Window Across The Sea, played by Clara Galle. Raquel has a girl-next-door-type personality and is infatuated with Ares, her next-door neighbor. Ares is the fictional character played by Julio Pena in the same movie.
Ares begins to reciprocate Raquel’s feelings by the end of the first movie. The film opens with the end events of the previous movie, with Ares studying medicine in Stockholm. Meanwhile, Raquel has stayed back in Barcelona to pursue a degree in literature. Raquel and Ares continue to maintain their long-distance relationship.
Ares begins to drown under the pressure of his course, thus drifting apart from Raquel. Raquel plans to publish her novel titled Through My Window, and she is surprised when Ares comes to visit her. Ares and Raquel go on a short vacation for the weekend, which is ruined by Yoshi and Daniela’s arrival at the same destination, as they still don’t trust Ares around Raquel.
Meanwhile, Daniela is dating Apolo, the younger brother of Ares, and Artemis sees his lady love Claudia from a distance as he cannot publicly accept his love for her as she is their family’s house help. Raquel and Ares spend some quality time together, but some shocking revelations pull the lovers apart.
Daniela sends Vera’s pictures in Ares’s shirt to Raquel, but she decides to trust Ares. A series of unfortunate events leads to Raquel questioning Ares and his intentions toward Vera. Raquel’s insecurity increases after she notices Ares pulls back from her when Vera is with them.
Did Ares Cheat On Raquel?
During a rough patch between Raquel and Ares, Raquel decides to enjoy a day with her best friends Yoshi and Daniella, but things take a turn for the worse when Yoshi ends up dead after he becomes a victim of road rage. When Raquel is left alone after her two friends go out to spend the night with someone else, she decides to go with Gregory.
Raquel changes her mind before kissing Gregory as she realizes she is doing everything to take her mind off Ares, and she doesn’t want to be with Gregory. Similarly, when Ares is alone with Vera in the villa, she tries to seduce him into sleeping with her, but he refuses.
The duo realizes their relationship is turning toxic and decides to part ways for good. Thus the favorite couple of 2023 is no longer together, but the reason behind their separation isn’t cheating.
