Diablo 4 is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, 2026, marking the first time Blizzard’s latest mainline Diablo game will be playable on a Nintendo console. The release arrives as the Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection, bringing the base game together with its expansions in a package designed for Nintendo’s newer hardware.
The Switch 2 version was announced during Blizzard’s 2026 BlizzCon festivities, where the company is also showcasing the future of the Diablo franchise. Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 remains a major focus of its current plans, with additional content and features continuing to arrive after launch.
What the Diablo 4 Switch 2 Version Includes
The Nintendo Switch 2 release gives players access to the same dark action-RPG experience built around exploring Sanctuary, fighting demons, collecting increasingly powerful equipment and developing customized characters. Players can choose between multiple classes and develop their builds through skills, equipment and endgame progression.
The game also includes Diablo 4’s large open world, allowing players to travel between different regions while completing quests, entering dungeons and confronting powerful enemies. Seasonal content and various endgame activities give players additional ways to continue developing their characters after completing the main campaign.
Nintendo’s version also adds hardware-specific features, with the eShop listing confirming HDR and touchscreen support. The latter could provide an alternative way to navigate menus and interact with certain elements of the game while playing in handheld mode.
Diablo 4 originally launched in 2023 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms, meaning Nintendo players have waited several years for the opportunity to experience the latest mainline entry.
