Detective Conan follows the story of Kudo Shinichi; a high school student detective who is the talk of the town for solving another case. The public begins to call him the savior of the Japanese Police Department.
Kudo Shinichi enjoys the popularity but his friend kind of dislikes it. His friend, Mouri Ran’s father is a detective and is not getting any work these days as her friend, Kudo Shinichi is busy solving them all. His friend Mouri Ran suggests to Kudo Shinichi that he just play football instead.
Kudo Shinichi was good at it as well but the only reason he had played football for a while was to get better at his instincts and develop other physical skills. He was never interested in football, to be honest.
Now that people refer to him as Detective Otaku, he loves receiving all the love and attention and surely does not wish to end this all. No matter how much Mouri Ran tries to make Kudo Shinichi give up, he is adamant.

Previously in Detective Conan Chapter 1122: The Detective, we saw that the kid, who has disguised as Kudo Shinichi, borrows Conan’s help and takes on the case! The detective is closing in on a certain someone’s identity, don’t you think?
Kudo Shinichi’s deduction show begins and Hakura Saguru also makes his move. Conan agrees to the deal and permits Kudo Shinichi to go ahead with his show as it does not concern him.
Kudo Shinichi begins his briefing. According to his review, ten minutes before the time that Kaitou Kid had announced, President Kichida, Manager Kase, and several staff members finished the final check of the exhibition room and the Azure Throne, that Kid was targetting.
And just as everyone exited from here to the corridor, the lights went out. Although nothing was captured on the CCTV camera, Conan and Kudo Shinichi had noticed something strange.
After they rushed here in the darkness, they discovered the body of President Kichida seated on the Azure Throne. He was shot in the head with a pistol! The reason the kid was not captured on the security camera was that he had placed a lubor’s lens in front of the camera.
However, that was a trap set in anticipation that Kid would probably use that trick. But there was another person who predicted that kid would use the lubor’s lens. That was, of course, the culprit who killed President Kichida.
