Fans of the show would already know that every new season of the show addresses brand new transport accidents that our team of Transport Safety and Investigations Bureau Personnel investigates and resolves. So, Season One of the show had the mysterious disappearance of a Britain-based passenger plane that got lost while flying over the Atlantic Ocean.
Season two of the series revolved around a train crash of a high-speed train moving from Chicago to Toronto. The crash left many dead, with the entire situation turning out to be more and more suspicious than it seemed on the surface.
Departure Season 3 Episode 5: The Plot
This third season of the show gets kicked off into motion with the sinking of a ferry boat called The Queen of the Narrows. We are told the boat was supposed to start off its journey from Boston to finally land in Newfoundland, Canada.
But things go awfully wrong when an explosion on board the ferry leads to the unfortunate sinking of the boat. The people on board launch themselves in all kinds of directions in hopes of grabbing the finite lifeboats that could potentially save their lives, but all that this leads to is an increase in the speed with which they enter the boat.
With the ship going down faster than ever, we witness a serious loss of life and a nightmarishly long investigation of the accident.
Episode five will have Kendra Malley, Archie Panjabi’s character, take the investigation as we find out one particular diver’s identity leads Kendra to the conclusion that someone from the inside, possibly someone pretending to be her ally, has been sabotaging her investigation process and misleading her right from the start.
