The anime received much praise for its beautiful, detailed animation and fight scenes.
“Kimetsu no Yaiba” anime has been adapted from a manga of the same name written and illustrated by Kotoharo Gotouge. The anime has been animated by the famous Ufotable Studio. In the story so far, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke travel to the Entertainment District to investigate the disappearance of several young women. They meet Tengen Uzui, one of the Hashira, who is also investigating the case.
They discover that a demon named Daki is responsible for the disappearances and infiltrating her lair. Tanjiro and Inosuke face off against Daki and her brother Gyutaro in a fierce battle. Tanjiro can overcome Daki’s blood demon art, and he ultimately defeats her. Gyutaro dies along with Daki, trying to protect his sister. Tengen is fatally wounded in the battle, but he recovers with Nezuko’s demon blood art.
After the events of the Entertainment District arc, Tanjiro goes to the hidden Swordsmith Village to repair their swords. There, he meets several skilled swordsmiths and learns about a demon who has been terrorizing the village. Tanjiro comes across another Hashira named Mitsuri, who spends time with them playing with Nezuko, who takes a liking to Mitsuri. Later, Tanjirou also sees Muichirou, another Hashira who was visiting the village.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Episode 1: Recap
The previous episode begins with Muzan meeting with the Upper Moon demons and discussing the events. The death of Gyutaro and Daki is a big loss for the demons, especially since it has been more than a century since an Upper Moon was defeated. Another reason for summoning the demons was to enquire about the blue spider lily, which Muzan believes can grant him the power to go out during the day, but it hasn’t been found yet.
Muzan tells the demons that he knew Gyutaro would since Daki held him back. On the other hand, Tanjirou finally wakes up after two months of staying in a coma. A week later, Tanjirou fully recovers, to everyone’s delight. Tanjirou is informed that Zenitsu and Inosuke have recovered and have been sent on missions already. Tanjirou enquires about his broken sword to see if a new one has been sent but is met with hateful letters instead.
The girls recommend Tanjirou go to the Swordsmith’s Village to get his sword since Haganezuka refused to send Tanjirou a sword. Tanjirou gets permission from the head of the demon slayer corps, and with the help of Kakushis, he reaches the village. There he meets with the chief of the village, who tells him that Haganezuka has gone into hiding and that he will have another swordsmith make his sword if Haganezuka refuses to do so.
Tanjirou heads to the hot spring and sees Mitsuri running towards him, crying that she was ignored by someone. Tanjirou later realizes that it was Genya who ignored Mitsuri. After soaking in the hot spring, Tanjirou meets up with Mitsuri again, who plays with Nezuko for a while. The next day, Tanjirou heads out and sees the hashira Muichirou having an argument with someone over an ancient training doll.
