Death Mark Game Gets Manga Adaptation

Death Mark(Shiin) has announced that the game is actually getting its own manga and novel adaptation. The developers of the game, Experience announced made the announcement. The novel is going to be published by PHp Institute. It will be published on February 20, 2019.

Hitomi Amamiya (scriptwriter for Gingitsune, Jinki:Extend, Merc Storia) is writing the novel. The novel focus on the backstories of several characters which appears in the game. Now moving on to the manga, the manga will be published by Kakkiteki.

The manga is being drawn by Ena. It has been confirmed that the manga is going to follow the plot of the game but, the manga will also add some scenes. These scenes will be extra and these aren’t featured in the game. The manga is going to be available digitally next year in February. Experience hasn’t revealed the release platforms for the manga.

Aksys Games released the game in English on October 31 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. Here is how the game is described—

In Death Mark, A strange rumor is spreading in Tokyo’s H City: those who bear the Mark will die. Unexpectedly appearing on the body, like a chewed up birthmark, the Mark is said to result in an unknown death. Now, having lost your memory, you stand before a mysterious house said to protect those who possess the Mark. As the doors swing open, the countdown to death has already begun.

The game was shipped for PS Vita in June 2017 and then it was launched for PS4 on January 18. Finally, the game was launched for Switch on June 28.

The game has shipped more than 100,000 copies worldwide.
