The season finale of Deadliest Catch is here, and what a season it’s been. We’ve seen our fair share of ups and downs, fights, greatest catches, and dangerous situations in this Discovery Channel reality television series chronicling the lives and work of fishermen off the coast of Alaska and its treacherous waters during the fishing season.
Each episode takes us to the peculiarities of a moment during the fishing season, from getting the boat ready, fixing it, and doing the desk work getting the permits to actual deploying of bait, tackle, and nets.
Sometimes, we see some gnarly things, like equipment malfunctions and men overboard, and sometimes we see how these persons make a big buck with their catches. If you like adventure shows, then this is the kind of show you don’t want to miss.
Deadliest Catch Season 19 Episode 11 Recap
All Deadliest Catch episodes have their fair share of emotion and adventure, and the next to last episode of the season was no different, so far we’ve seen early closures on the fishing season, forcing captains to scramble and set out to turbulent waters trying to make up for the remainder of the fishing season and get some money in the bank. We’ve seen the drama from Bob; we’ve seen the fishermen’s strike.
In this episode, we see how Jonathan heads out to a relatively unknown crab location in search of some catch; he’s earned the right to fish there after some auctioning. Also, we see how Sig tests out his luck at a derby fishery, making his way to some reputation!
Last but not least, we saw Keith performing a very dangerous maneuver on the high seas; he had to do a deckhand transfer in the chopped sea, and what a ride that was. Kudos to the cast and crew because that was quite the bumpy ride!
