Dead Tube is a psychological horror manga that revolves around a twisted online video-sharing platform called Dead Tube, where users compete to create and upload the most shocking and gruesome videos for the sake of gaining popularity. Tomohiro Machiya, is an introverted student who accidentally becomes involved with the world of Dead Tube. One day, he witnesses his classmate, Mai Mashiro, murder a person in cold blood while filming it, and is blackmailed by Mai into becoming her partner in the twisted game.

Dead Tube: Chapter 88 Recap

In the previous chapter of Dead Tube, the two Shinkai Maids execute the traitor Hoshimiya, which concludes the end of Dead Tube. Macchon gets excited and tells the maids that since there are four more days left, they can continue playing and get a lot of money in return. The maids entertain this idea but they remind Macchon that she has been gravely injured, and has blood pouring out of her wound as she is speaking. Macchon faints from the shock and is moved to the infirmary.

Macchon starts narrating about how Machiya was determined to wipe Dead Tube but soon after he succeeded, it opened back up under a new name Dead Tube Neo. She recounts the game they were forced to play and how Macchon played a crucial part in identifying the traitor among them. Macchon wakes up to claim her 8 million yen but she is greeted by Akitsu Tatsumi, who tells her that she will only receive 50,000 yen since rest of the money will be going to her as a debt collector.

It is revealed hat Akitsu Tatsumi is a debt collector and the President of a credit firm. Akitsu tracks down one of the borrowers who was trying to run away and captures him. She ties up the man and threatens to torture him but the man says that he has the money in the phone but he has been locked out. Tatsumi goes to a proffessional to get the phone checked and sees something relating to Dead Tube Neo coins that can be traded and bought, and takes it to Machiyo to show it to him.
