Dead Mount Death Play has garnered a lot of attention recently and is slowly rising to the top and making its name. Fans are very excited about this new take on the isekai genre, which perfectly blends action, thrill, suspense, and slice of life with the existing theme of someone getting transported to another world.
Dead Mount Death Play is categorized as a reverse isekai, rather than an isekai, due to the character being reincarnated into the real world from a fantasy world of magic, as opposed to the general isekai, where the opposite happens. Another example of such kind of genre would be Devil is a Part-timer.
But the reverse transportation isn’t all that’s unique about this anime. The anime goes as far as to break even the traditional troupe of the hero getting reincarnated or transported and instead makes it so that the supposed ‘villain’ of the fantasy world, the Corpse God in this case, get transported, and the story follows his life in the real world.
While fighting against the hero of that world, the Corpse God activates a spell that was supposed to make him reincarnate in the other world, but due to some miscalculation, he gets transported instead to the body of Polka Shinoyama, who had just been assassinated.
The last episode of the series ended on an interesting note as we saw the fire-breathing imposter bug getting burned by the real fire-breathing bug, who was upset with his identity getting mocked. As you are patiently waiting for the next episode, which is soon to release, you have come to the right place if you want to know about the release date and time of the next episode, any potential spoilers, and where to watch the next episode as soon as it gets released. But first, let’s dive into a quick recap of the previous episode to refresh your memory.
Dead Mount Death Play: Episode 6 Recap
The episode begins with Polka returning to his mansion, determined to fulfill his promise to protect the kids. Bringing Misaki along, the daughter of Sakimiya Steel’s owner. She tells everyone the story of how Polka saved her multiple times, and Takeru notes that her parents had helped him a lot when he was younger. She is welcome to live with them as a family friend.
Rozan Shinomiya, the head of the family, suddenly comes down to join them. Upon being asked to discuss a business issue by some relative, he instead redirects him to talk to Gaku as he is semi-retired. Then he takes Polka away to talk to him personally. Polka is fully confident that he can fool the old man, but Rozan instantly finds out that there is someone else inside Polka’s body and demands he tells the truth.
Polka requests to go and take care of the situation; otherwise, Kazuki and Suzuki may be in danger. Then we are shown the flashback of the ghost behind the kids and find out it was Suzuka, their elder sister, who died after overhearing a malicious scheme to kill the children. In the end, Polka and Misaki manage to save the kids successfully, and the fake fire-breathing bug, along with the other perpetrators, is taken care of.
