Key characters explored include Ultraman Belial, Dark Zagi, Evil Tiga, Camilla, and Jaguar Juggler. So far the project has engaged audiences through various events, live shows, manga releases, and more.
Now it has been officially announced during the recent convention’s opening ceremony that “Darkness Heels” will also be adapted into an anime production.

This seeming confirmation of Sekai’s future involvement adds excitement about the voice cast potential.
Further specifics regarding the anime series itself are expected to be shared publicly at a later date by Tsuburaya Productions as details get finalized.
In general, though, adapting the Darkness Heels franchise into anime form opens up fresh storytelling opportunities to spotlight the traditionally sinister Ultraman characters.
Things like past backstories and motivational nuances can be creatively explored through the animation medium’s unique strengths.
As Tsuburaya Productions expands Darkness Heels across different forms of media, this new anime project looks to resonate strongly with Ultraman fans seeking a captivating exploration of the franchise’s darker dimension.
Sekai’s Involvement Sparks Anticipation
Sekai’s likely vocal contributions also promise to accentuate the series with his musical artistry.
Anime fans and Ultraman followers alike have an intriguing new series to look forward to as “Darkness Heels” makes its animation debut.
This anime adaptation promises to immerse viewers in the shadowy side of the Ultra franchise, telling a compelling story centered around the anti-hero characters.
Seeing these villainous figures like Ultraman Belial and Evil Tiga come alive through gripping narrative storytelling will allow audiences to connect on a deeper level.
The anime medium’s strengths can tap into darker, more complex themes that the franchise’s live-action works can’t always fully explore.
Unveiling the Dark Side
As “Darkness Heels” transitions its multimedia universe into the anime world, fans can expect an experience that spotlights these antagonists in new, potentially sympathetic ways.
Their backstories and motivations will hopefully resonate more through animated form.
Additional updates and details surrounding the production are still to come. But Ultraman and animation supporters alike should keenly anticipate this anime adaptation as it brings enhanced depth to the Darkness Heels concept. The dark Ultra heroes’ complexities will soon manifest through a uniquely animated lens!
More About Ultraman
The world this anime takes place in once had a mighty figure called the Giant of Light who completed some unknown mission long ago.
Afterward, he returned to his home world and erased all memories of his existence from humanity’s minds, restoring the peace and ignorance they previously held. So now the Giant of Light resides only in fading myths of the past.
In the modern-day world, a high school student named Shinjiro Hayata begins exhibiting strange abilities beyond normal human limits.
This includes incredible jumping talent, herculean strength, and a powerfully built physique unlike other teens his age. These obvious anomalies make Shinjiro realize he is no ordinary person.
It is soon revealed that Shinjiro’s own father was actually the former Ultraman in disguise. Having inherited those special genes, Shinjiro learns he is among the select few able to don the high-tech Ultra Suit armor.
Upon discovering his unique lineage and capabilities, Shinjiro receives the bold appeal: “I will say this straight up — I want you to become the next Ultraman.”
The Awakening of Shinjiro Hayata
So in essence, this is a coming-of-age tale about a student who harnesses dormant power linked to the planet’s myths, eventually living up to a towering family legacy.
A sudden global event occurs in which massive numbers of people mysteriously vanish without explanation. Among the disappeared are teenager Rena and protagonist Shinjiro, who vanish at the same time.
In response, an investigative freelance journalist named Kotaro Higashi begins looking into this bizarre “disappearance incident” to uncover the truth.
It is soon revealed that the alien terrorist organization known as Dark Star is behind the mass abductions, having teleported all those people aboard their mothership in orbit around Earth.
Dark Star then delivers an ominous message: “Give us half of the Earth, or sacrifice half of its people… make your choice.”
As Kotaro probes deeper into the conspiracy, he gets caught in the crossfire between Dark Star and an interstellar defense force called the SSSP. Barely surviving an attempt on his life, Kotaro realizes the stakes are higher than imagined.
Ultimately, a massive battle erupts within the city between Dark Star’s devastating mech weapon Golden Fortress, and the heroic Ultramen fighters. Ultraman, Ultraseven, and Ultraman Taro are initially losing ground until reinforced by Ultraman Zoffy, Ultraman Jack, and Ultraman Ace – turning the tide in a grand final showdown.
