Everybody was waiting for Dangerous Romance Episode 1 to release, and it boots off with a good start. It will be challenging to wait for one week for every episode. Dangerous Romance is a story about Sailom and Kanghan. Sailom struggles to provide for himself and his brother financially because he comes from a low-income family. Kanghan, on the other hand, comes from an affluent family. He is also the school’s bully, who does not give anyone a break.
However, one-day Kanghan’s grandmother requested Sailom to tutor him in exchange for double-triple the amount of money he wants, which he does not appear to be able to reject. The series is an ongoing Thai television BL that airs on GMMTV every Friday. This article will give you a gist of the series in a detailed way by providing a recap and review of the first episode.
Let’s Catch Up With Episode 1 of Dangerous Romance
The series started with Sailom’s narration about how people are not equal and how everybody lives a different life basis on their social state. And that kids like them had equal social opportunities.
The first episode began with Sailom working his part-time job to pay off the debt and save some money as well so he could provide them. In the school, Sailom and his friends, Guy and Auto, got in line for lunch, but Kanghan and his friends, Nawa and Max, crossed the queue and went first to give the order.
But they didn’t do anything as Kang’s father was running for an MP, so nobody dared to raise their voice at any of them. During their lunch hours, Auto received a message and left the place without giving them a reasonable explanation leaving Sailom and Guy suspicious.
Kang, Max, and Nawa started bullying Auto for not doing his job on their paper well. Sailom and Guy saw them, and the former took out his phone and began recording everything. When he showed that video to their homeroom teacher, he called this topic off by saying as they were classmates, they must be teasing each other.
In addition to asking Kanghan to come and clarify the situation, he also told Sailom to remove the video in front of him, or else he would dock his grades because he had misinterpreted the entire scenario.
Kang got mad at Sailom for not following his order and told his friends to take care of him. They got back at Sailom for what he did to Kang. Since that day, Kanghan and his friends started pissing Sailom and his friends off.
When Sailom was doing the part-time job of washing vehicles, Kanghan came and gave his car to him for service. He returned when Sailom was done with his work. Kang tried to trick him, but he got tricked back.
When he got home, Kang was having dinner with his grandmother and father. His father told him not to run for the school president. He didn’t expect that and felt bad about it. Pimfah also gave him a visit.
The following morning, Auto called Sailom to come and meet him at the old gym, but he told him it was a trap to beat him up. The auto was again getting bullied by them in front of many students. Kanghan also asked him to kiss Auto to make up for everything he had done. But instead, Sailom kissed Kang, leaving everyone in awe.

Our Verdict
The series started with a sixer out of the field, delivering incredible quality. Fans have been dying in anticipation of Dangerous Romance since the announcement. The pair appeared together in the 2022 BL series Never Let Me Go. In addition to the main couple, the audience was captivated by Perth and Chimon’s chemistry and yearned for more. And in retort to the overwhelming demand, GMMTV granted them their own series.
The character in this series is the polar opposite and leads a life in that way. One is a bully who thinks highly of himself, and the other never backs off while getting teased, ticked, or even bullied. Sailom is savage, intelligent, and bold enough to corner down Kanghan’s bossy, rude, and toxic behavior. But it also aggravates and provokes him to come up with new ways to bully him.
It is worth praising how well they performed and stood out. Perth and Chimon’s eyes are incredible at conveying their emotions and are expressive enough to read what they are thinking, experiencing, or feeling.
The character of Kanghan will undoubtedly undergo significant character development, but for the time being, it is fun to observe their rivalry and how enemies can quickly become friends.
Because there are a lot of expectations for the plot, the characters, and the actors, it’s hoped that the series will not lose momentum after a promising first episode. The supporting cast contributes to the success of the series.
This episode served as the ideal example of the socioeconomic contrast and how two distinct people approach or lead quite different lives depending on their relative worth. It also demonstrated the potential for school administration to act carelessly. In this episode, the teacher was only worried about the school’s reputation but didn’t bat an eye about the bullying students faced.
And everyone is just so pissed off with the rating, as it’s not justifiable and deserves applause and attention because it is that good. The series is worth spending your precious 44-50 minutes on it. I will give 4.2 out of 5 to the 1st episode of Dangerous Romance.
