Victoire soon learns about the fact that Camille is going to destroy the Montrachets soon enough, and thus, she runs to Pascal for her help. Camille, although, is already two steps further as she takes Jean on her side with a formal commitment in exchange for secrets.
At the ball, Pascal, who is now attending because of Jacqueline, sends her home before any tragedy happens to her. Camille tries to confront Henri by threatening him with scissors to his throat. But turns out that it was Pascal all along who was wearing the wolf mask on him.
This means that Pascal jow knows Camille’s past related to Henri and how he raped her and killed her child. Pascal, who was actually disgusted, now understands the entire motive behind Camille’s operation. He promises to seduce Jacqueline and asks her to meet her tomorrow to start a new life together.
On the other hand, Marie Antoinette is not happy with Christine, and Camille finds her later. Also, she finds out that Victoire has actually fled and taken all the letters as well. She plans to admit the defeat to Jean. By the end of the episode, Marquis is teary-eyed, and he comes to Camille. He tells her that she is above his equal and he cannot be without her. Hereby, he slips an engagement ring upon her, to everyone’s surprise.
