Damage CTRL, comprising IYO Sky, Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane has been a dominant force in the WWE reign. However, following the events of WWE Backlash, the stable finds themselves with one member less for a while moving forward.
Adapting to Adversity
Asuka and Kairi Sane were involved in a huge tag team match at WWE Backlash France, where they defended their WWE Women’s tag team titles against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. However, they were not able to neutralize the force of the dominant duo who dethroned them to become the new champions.
Adding insult to injury, Damage CTRL members had a piece of news to share coming out of the match on tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW with Dakota Kai taking center stage following IYO Sky’s victory over Natalya in the first round of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Kai announced that their cohort, Asuka, had suffered an undisclosed injury at WWE Backlash France. Therefore, she would be replacing her in the other Queen of the Ring first-round match later that night.
She also announced that they had eyes on the new tag team title holders as well as the WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch, hinting at a fresh start after being drafted from SmackDown to RAW last week in the WWE Draft 2024.
