Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is a Japanese visual novel series. The visual novel is played like a game and needs the player to do the tactical role-playing. It was developed by Aquaplus developed while got published by Aquaplus in Japan. As for internationally, it was done by Atlus USA in North America and Deep Silver Europe. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Play Station 3, 4, and Playstation Vita. The visual novel made its first appearance on 21st September 2016 in Japan and worldwide on 23rd May 2017.
The franchise has been running successfully for a long time and later got adapted into manga and anime series. Since the year 2006, these anime series, mangas, and games from the franchise didn’t stop coming. As for this year, we are going to have an all-new anime series titled “Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth”.
Plot
Its plot will take you around a masked protagonist named Hakuowlo. One day he was found injured, suffering from amnesia, by two girls. They took him with them into their village and treated him. However, after regaining consciousness, he found out how they are oppressed by the greedy rulers. As their actions escalated and created more mess, Hakuowlo launched a rebellion. Hakuowlo led the rebellion and started to imagine a new country that would be constructed from the ashes of the old one. He decided to name it Tuskur and establish it after both the girls and their grandmother protected him.
Crunchyroll To Stream Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth Anime
The upcoming anime series Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is going to be produced by White Fox Studio. It is going to be directed by Kenichi Kawamura and written by Itsuki Yokoyama. The anime is slated for July 2022 as a summer anime of the year. The leading anime streaming website Crunchyroll has announced on Thursday, 7th April 2022, that it will be streaming Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth. Starting from July, the anime Utawererumono: Mask of Truth will be available on Crunchyroll for Northern America, Oceania, The Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The cast of the new anime has also been revealed as Kentaro Tone (Beelzebub, Bleach, Black Butler II), who will be replacing the late Keiji Fujiwara as Oshtor. Other than him, we have Risa Taneda (Strike the Blood, Hgh School DxD, Beyond the Boundary) as Koun. Chinatsu Akasaki (Bakugan, Bakuman, Case Closed, Angles of Death) as Anju. Finally, Inori Minase as (Case Study of Vanitas, Cardfight!! Vanguard) Nekone.
