Crunchyroll will stream the English dub for the Sasaki and Peeps anime starting Friday, featuring Tyson Rinehart as Sasaki, Erin Nicole Lundquist as Peeps, and a cast including Taylor Murphy, Julie Cleburn, Ethan Gallardo, Eli Farmer, Ray Hurd, and Davon Oliver.
The additional voices in the English cast include Chris Sanders, Chris Ryan, Chris Sykes, Chris Long, Chris Wehkamp, Chris Rutledge, Christian Thorsen, Chris Guerrero, Kristen Lazarchick, Kristin Payne, Kristin Sutton, and Krystal LaPorte.
Directed by Helena Walstrom, produced by Samantha Herek, with adaptation by Matthew Greenbaum, mixing by Neal Malley, and engineering by Derric Benavides, the anime premiered on January 5 on AT-X with Crunchyroll streaming it globally. The series had its world premiere at Anime NYC on November 18 and is set to have 12 episodes.
Mirai Minato is directing the anime adaptation of the Sasaki and Peeps novels at SILVER LINK, with Deko Akao overseeing the series scripts and Saori Nakashiki designing the characters. MADKID performs the opening theme, “FLY,” and Aguri Ōnishi performs the ending theme, “Aimai Girl.”
Yen Press releases the English novels, describing the story of Sasaki, whose dull corporate life takes an unexpected turn when he unknowingly adopts a sage from another world with supernatural powers, leading to a series of adventures. The novel series, illustrated by Kantoku, began in January 2021 and won awards in the 2022 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook.
