Crocodile Actor Joe Manganiello Says He Recreated One Piece’s Great Hall in His Home Because He’ll “Miss It So Much”

Joe Manganiello is taking his One Piece fandom to an unusually personal level. The actor, who plays the infamous Warlord of the Sea Crocodile in Netflix’s live-action adaptation, has revealed that he enjoyed working on the series so much that he had part of his character’s elaborate set recreated inside his own home.

Manganiello is returning as Crocodile for One Piece Season 3, which is expected to continue expanding the live-action series’ world and introduce several important characters. The actor’s latest comments also offer a glimpse at just how elaborate the production’s practical sets were behind the scenes.

Joe Manganiello Recreated Crocodile’s Great Hall at Home

In a video shared on X, Manganiello showed fans the set used for Crocodile’s Great Hall and explained why he wanted to preserve part of it after production ended. According to the actor, the set featured a staircase, a Sea Stone cage and even practical water effects.

“This is my [Crocodile’s] Great Hall,”

Manganiello said, describing the location before revealing that he had some of its features recreated in his basement. He specifically highlighted the cage mechanism, explaining that it could actually descend into water while crocodile heads positioned above released real water.

Manganiello added that he was going to “miss it so much” that he decided to replicate part of the environment at home. His comments were shared in a video highlighted by CinemaBlend, which reported on the actor’s unusual tribute to his time on the Netflix production.

The reveal is particularly notable because Crocodile’s Great Hall is not simply a digital environment. Manganiello’s description suggests that Netflix’s production incorporated substantial practical construction and physical effects to bring the character’s surroundings to life.

Manganiello first joined the live-action One Piece as Crocodile after Netflix confirmed his casting for the upcoming season. Season 3 is also set to introduce Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace, Luffy’s older brother and one of the most important new characters entering the story.

Netflix has confirmed that One Piece Season 3 will arrive in 2027, although the exact release date has not been announced. With Crocodile and Ace joining the expanding cast, the upcoming season is positioned to move the adaptation into another major stage of Eiichiro Oda’s story.
