Critical Role Campaign 3 Episode 37 Recap
A week earlier, “From the Boughs,” episode 37 of Critical Role Campaign 3, was made publicly available. In order to save Laudna’s soul, Bells Hells had to travel through a dark and tainted Whitestone and deal with twisted, terrifying memories from the past.
Bells Hells notices a young preteen kid conversing with the ghost of Laudna in this new place. Little Laudna, whom the youngster refers to as Matilda, agrees to play a game with him. She shares a secret with him in a game called Secret Treasures, and he rewards her with a gift.
Helping Hands
Matilda retreats as Imogen telepathically warns the young girl not to believe him. He uses her mind (telepathy specifically) to make a call to Laudna/Matilda, who replies that she is having fun in the barn. Bells turn toward the tree as the route finally becomes clear for them.
Chetney and Imogen then drink their potions of possibility in an effort to change the course of events with their luck motes. This episode made us feel so much. Everyone was attempting to save their companion, with Fearne claiming to have made a vow and Laudna emerging from the tree cage to see Imogen.
