Pearl Abyss has published an updated Known Issues notice for Crimson Desert, informing players about several bugs currently affecting gameplay, graphics, and platform-specific performance. The update, published on August 1, 2026, follows the release of the game’s latest patch and confirms that the development team is actively investigating the reported issues while working on future fixes.
The official notice covers problems impacting PC, Mac, PlayStation, and AMD graphics card users, along with quest progression bugs and graphical glitches. Pearl Abyss also provided temporary workarounds for some issues, encouraging players to report any additional problems through its official support channels. The complete list is available on the official Crimson Desert website.
Current Crimson Desert issues players should know about
One of the most significant issues affects Mac players using the MetalFX Denoising Upscaler, which may cause the game to crash. Pearl Abyss recommends deleting the User Engine Option save file if this occurs.
Another Mac-specific bug causes furniture placement to become inaccurate when using a keyboard and mouse at certain resolutions, while the Colorblind Mode UI filter is also not functioning correctly.

Players using AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT or newer GPUs may encounter graphical problems when Ray Regeneration is enabled. Until a fix is released, Pearl Abyss advises keeping the feature disabled. The studio also confirmed that NVIDIA GTX 1060 users may experience a white screen when enabling FSR Upscaling alongside Frame Generation, while FSR 4 can cause rain effects to disappear or create blurry visuals during rainy weather.
Several gameplay issues remain under investigation as well. Greymane faction quests cannot currently be progressed while playing as Damiane or Oongka, certain quest-related NPCs cannot ride Legendary Animal mounts, and fish caught in some locations become unable to move.
On PlayStation, rapidly entering characters when naming pets or horses with the virtual keyboard may freeze the screen, prompting Pearl Abyss to recommend typing more slowly as a temporary workaround.
Pearl Abyss said it is continuing to investigate these issues and thanked players for their patience while improvements are being developed.
