Country star Chris Young faces criminal charges following a Nashville incident.
Chris Young, 38, was arrested at Dawg House bar in Nashville. The charges include resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and assault on an officer. He faces legal trouble after a shocking incident in Nashville.
The incident began at Tin Roof bar, where representatives of the Alcoholic Beverage Commission approached Chris Young. Recalling the event, one agent stated, “When we walked into the bar, a man sitting at the bar, later found to be Mr. Young, had his ID in his hand above his head,” according to an arrest affidavit.
The agents verified his ID before intending to leave the bar.
“Mr. Young started asking questions that were answered at that time and then began video recording us. We left the bar after finishing our check and went to Dawg House next door to continue compliance checks,” they added.
Following the completion of their checks at the Dawg House, Chris Young’s behavior reportedly escalated.
“While walking out the door, Mr. Young put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder. I then pushed Mr. Young to create distance since I had no idea who Mr. Young was or what he had,” the affidavit continued.
The agent noted that patrons and Chris’ friends “began yelling and screaming.”
Chris and his group reportedly escalated the situation, leading to him being handcuffed.
The court documents described the chart-topping artist as having “slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and watery eyes.”
