They shed light on the year 1982 and its incident, where Avery landed in trouble for hurting his lovable family cat. While Netflix said it was an accident, this series said cop reports show it was on purpose.
Then they also talked about a late 1985 incident where the suspect, Avery, actually forced his cousin off the road and also pointed a gun at her. Netflix said that he had done it just to scare her.
The reason behind him doing this was that she was spreading rumors about him. But the new series revealed how Netflix did not show the POV of cousin well. Avery got 32 years for a sexual assault in late 1985
But the guy also got six years for the cousin incident. Then, the second episode also brought in Avery’s brother, called Earl Avery. He explained how he vividly remembers that Avery did hurt his dog.
Earl also revealed how Avery asked him to do something sexual with Avery’s wife. The episode also talked about Avery’s relationship with his kids in detail. He had sent them letters from prison with threats toward their mom.
Then, the third episode focused on Avery’s relationships with multiple women. We also learned how the family members talked about an accusation. This was about how Avery sexually assaulted his 16-year-old niece in early 2004.
However, the charges were dropped. They got to discuss an inappropriate relationship between Avery and the teen in late 2003. It ended by revealing that the times Halbach went to Avery’s Salvage before her death in late 2005 was around 6.
