Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face criticism once more as Meghan’s new business venture launch coincides with Prince William’s speech in London.
The Duchess of Sussex announced her new brand American Riviera Orchard on Thursday, reports state, hours before both William and Harry appeared at the Diana Legacy Awards to give speeches.
Despite the significance of the 25th anniversary of the awards, the estranged brothers remained apart, with Harry delivering his speech via video link.
The Sussexes did not attend the award presentation in person, fueling speculations about Meghan’s rumored Netflix cooking show alongside her new brand.
Speaking to the assembled crowd as he walked on stage to the AC/DC song Thunderstruck, William said:
“This evening’s Legacy Award is particularly special as it marks the 25th anniversary year of The Diana Award, a charity set up to reflect my mother’s belief that young people can change the world.
“I know that she would have been honoured to see a charity in her name doing such inspirational work to uplift young people from all corners of the globe.”
